There are many Chinese restaurants in La Crosse, however, there is only one that I prefer over the rest and that’s Hunans. The service is always pleasant and prompt. The food is always fresh and plentiful. If your looking for an overall great customer experience to satisfie your appetite then Hunans is the place you’ll want to be.

Our experience was not good. The host was not friendly and the food was not up to standards like it was before these owners. The host was also our waiter and when clearing our table, he spilled juices from our plates onto our coats and seats. When I mentioned this to him, he said so sorry and that was it. Very disappointed and will never go back.

Great food as usual

Ordered the Szechuan Chicken and what a disappointment. Its dry and bland and has absolutely no sauce. When I called to complain it was blamed on me for ordering through Door Dash. Sorry but both companies failed to do one simple task!! Sorry but not impressed and will never order from Hunan or through Door Dash ever again.

Disappointing, ordered the happy family.. shrimp were tiny and scallops even tinier. Potstickers were mushy on the outside instead of crisp. Won’t be ordering again.

Awful food! Avoid if possible. You’re better off eating some frozen Chinese food from the grocery isle.

Excellent "fast Chinese food"I've eaten at all the chinese restaurants in the la crosse area and this restaurant is by far the freshest tasting. The veggies used in the dishes taste fresh and not frozen or canned. The meat used isnt fatty and cheap tasting either. Overall, my favorite chinese restaurant in the la crosse area.

Stopped in for a carryout. It was awful. Ta Chin chicken entree was over half gravy and tasted like mold. I paid extra to get the fried rice. It was the worst rice I have ever eaten.

Ordered food to go. They said 15 mins came in 20 for buffer and still 20 min wait. They said they were busy...there are two tables with people and 1 other person waiting for to go order. This is my first time here. It’s recommended it good but time allowed is crazy. Wish they just told us 30 mins.

Sat down for lunch with a friend. We both had the special, fragrant chicken, which was quite good. Excellent prices. Clean and well kept.

Everytime we come back to the Midwest from the West coast, we make sure to visit the Hunan in LaCrosse,WI for great lunch specials. We love the Princess Chicken, hot spicy sour and wonton soup, and crab ragoons. Ask for hot spicy mustard to compliment and kick up the flavor when enjoy crab ragoons. A little goes a long way 😉 Delish!!!!

I've been coming here about once a week for years and don't plan to stop anytime soon. Great food, friendly staff and reasonable prices.

The restroom was filthy! The food was bland. The service was fast, though.

If you don't like the flavor, it's your own fault! The suggested recipes are great. The choice of sauces is excellent! The meats are thin, to cook at the speed of the veggies, but when they are thin, you don't taste much of the meats' flavor. The waitress was prompt, the chefs did a great job of throughly coming the food.

The Orange Beef is Awesome !! I know I should really try some of the other food but I can never force myself to pass up on the Orange beef. My only suggesting would be to have a little more Crab and Cream Cheese in the Crab Rangoon. This is my first and only choice for Chinese food in Winona. And to anyone who claims the price is to high: Come on, you get food enough to fill up the hungriest of the hunger and still have plenty left to take home for another meal. And where can you for under $10 and take leftovers home?

The best Chinese restaurant by far in the area. Great food and great service. I always look forward to it! Favorites include Cashew Chicken, Beef and Pea Pods, Sesame Chicken, and the best Wonton Soup I've ever had!

Chicken was over cooked, food portions were not appropriate. Food did not taste good. It was hard to eat. I will not eat from here again, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

The veggies looked as if were frozen and re cooked. The General tso's chicken sauce non existent, probably because it was as watered down as the sweet and sour was. The fried wantons were literally empty, pretty much a folded fried wanton wrapper. Food in general reminded me of the stuff you can get in the freezer section, then poorly prepared. Ended up throwing away $30 because it was so bad. To top it off the fortune cookie wasn't sealed and the fortune mocked the terrible experience

We ordered several meals and both were fair. The meat in both dishes was not tender. It also seemed as though they did not have enough staff.

I picked up dinner to go. I haven't had Hunan's since the last time I visited friends & family in Cameron, Mo. I used to eat there quite a few times & missed the food. I ordered House Chow Mei Fun & Hulla Beef. The meal came with White Rice. There was enough for me to have lunch tomorrow. It was worth the price

I have found nothing close to Hunan since I moved to The Twin Cities 20 years ago. Best Hot & Sour soup ever! Lunch Menu is my favorite. I stop here everytime I'm in La Crosse. The food is still the same!

Heard good things about the quality of the food. Was very unhappy with the Egg Foo Young, it smelled burnt, looked burnt, and tasted burnt. When I called to give my feedback the response was oh it didn’t taste good, have you ever had the dish before. I was again just repeated that it smelt burnt, looked burnt, and tasted burnt, the cook should not have sent it out. I do not recommend this restaurant

This place makes a lot of really good food, but the garlic honey chicken is pretty amazing. It's worth it just to go and get that, it's nice and spicy but at the same time as that wonderful sweetness. The staff for helpful without being hovering.

I ordered simple fried rice and lo meIn and it was so gross I considered bringing the food back. You are better off eating a peanut butter sandwich from a food pantry. Gross!!!!!

Always my go-to Chinese restaurant in downtown La Crosse for a sit-down meal. Considerably higher end than most Chinese food restaurants within the same price range. Food is always really good. The usual fare, and some not as common dishes and variations.

Ordered through eatstreet. Food was average. Also when ordering, we advised we were on a patio at a local brewery. When food delivered they did not include plasticware and napkins.

I ordered through EatStreet. I ordered Kung Pao Beef and Hunan Beef with more spicy. I even asked for the spiciest they can make for the Hunan beef however both of the dishes were not even spicy a little. Both were sour instead. I wanted to throw away both dishes right away. They were awful. The most important thing was that I asked for SPICY and none of them were. Both dishes have a lot of sauces. The sauce were over flow. The Kung Pao Beef doesn’t even look like Kung Pao. It was liquidy. I would like to ask for a refund if I can.

The food was ok at best. We went there on Christmas day. ..mistake! Run down? Yep, and dirty, and old, and stained carpet and whatever you do. ...don't use the men's room! Disgusting! Like something out of a scary movie! Repulsive!
